God has unlimited resources. Have you asked God for what you need and want?
The number one reason why people don’t get there prayers answered is simply…They don’t pray.
Simple and pragmatic but so profound!
What is prayer? Talking back and forth with the creator. It’s about relationship.
God wants to meet both your needs and your wants.
Three reasons why prayers go unanswered:
- People don’t pray.
- People don’t ask and receive (James 4:2).
- People don’t act.
“Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.” – 1 John 5:14-15
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.” – Matthew 7:7-8
Have you ever asked?
Faith pleases God! (Hebrews 11:6)
It takes faith to ask God for what you really want.
Why? If you ask, there is a chance you won’t get what you asked for in your mind.
When you ask, you are demonstrating your belief that God is a good God. You acknowledge that God knows where the resources are.
Before you ask…you must first decide what you want.
Delay doesn’t mean God has denied your prayers.
What do you want God to do for you in 2021???
Exercise: Take time in 2020 to write out what you want and hope for on a piece of paper for 2021 and beyond. Now, have confidence and ask God the Father for it.
